Usage Policy
Last revised: May 29, 2026
By publishing to or using Sysand Package Index, you agree to the
Terms of Use, which incorporate this policy. For privacy
matters, see the Privacy Policy. For vulnerability
disclosure and reporting malicious packages, see the
Security Policy.
Acceptable Content
Sysand Package Index hosts SysML v2 and KerML model packages for use with
SysML v2 tooling. We do not allow:
- Malicious or unsafe content. Code or model logic designed to harm
users, exfiltrate data, embed command-and-control behavior, or
otherwise abuse downstream tooling. Security-research artifacts
published in good faith are welcome — contact us first if in doubt.
- Non-functional packages. Empty archives, name-squatting
placeholders, or releases with no real model content. Reserving names
you do not actively maintain falls under this rule.
- Content unrelated to systems and software modeling. Packages whose
primary purpose is to distribute media, executables, generic datasets,
or anything else better served by another index.
- Proprietary or confidential material. Anything you are not
entitled to publish openly, including unlicensed third-party code,
secrets, or data subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Infringing content. Material that violates third-party copyright,
trademark, patent, or other rights.
- Abusive or inappropriate content. Harassing, deceptive, or
otherwise inappropriate material — this applies to package names,
publisher names, descriptions, and READMEs as well as the model
content itself.
Publisher Responsibilities
When you publish a package, you confirm that:
- You (co-)own the rights to the content or otherwise have permission to
redistribute it under the license declared with the package.
- The package metadata you provide is accurate.
- You consent to Sensmetry running automated validations on the package
(for example, via the Syside tool) and publishing the validation
results alongside the package.
The licence you grant Sensmetry to host and distribute your package is
set out in Section 5 of the Terms of Use.
Names and Removal
- Publisher and project names are assigned on a first-come, first-served
basis. Sensmetry will not reassign an active name against the wishes
of its current publisher.
- Published versions are meant to be durable so that downstream projects
can depend on them. Prefer publishing a new version with the fix over
removing an existing release.
- You may request removal of a release or project you publish by
contacting sysand@sensmetry.com.
- Sensmetry may remove content, suspend accounts, or refuse uploads
that violate this policy. Where time permits we will reach out first;
for active malware, intellectual-property violations, or coordinated
abuse, removals may be immediate.
Conduct
We expect everyone interacting with Sysand Package Index — publishers,
maintainers, and other users — to communicate respectfully. Personal
attacks, harassment, and discriminatory remarks directed at other users
are not welcome on any surface under our control, including package
metadata and READMEs.
Reporting
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect new situations
or emerging abuse patterns. Material changes will be announced through
Sysand Package Index. The notice period and acceptance mechanism for
changes are governed by Section 9 of the Terms of Use.
